"veteran of the game" - mr. Walter Nolting New York Mets

Mr. Walter Nolting

Mr. Nolting was honored at Citi Field by the NY Mets as "Veteran of the Game".

The New York Mets organization was amazing.  All the people involved in making the "Veteran of the Game" work were so kind. My Dad LOVED all the attention he was getting from fans and Mets employees alike. There is no doubt about how happy and grateful my Dad was to receive this fun and amazing honor.  Just take a look at the smile on his face after receiving his American Flag and hearing the ROARING CHEERS from the entire stadium.  All to honor and Thank the greatest man every, our Dad, WALTER NOLTING!

--Chris Nolting, Member of Operation K9 Beethoven

Veteran of the Game - At every home game at Citi Field, the NY Mets salute the "Veteran of the Game" presented by Fiserv. A player presents the honoree with an American flag that flew over Citi Field and Citi Vision plays a segment showcasing the soldier's achievements while serving in the military.
