December 18th, 2022 at Harley Davidson of Rochelle Park, NJ, was a very special day. Santa came in for a visit from his busy Christmas schedule to take photos with children, parents, and dogs. Santa wanted to be there this day in particular because of a Veteran who served in the US Army, 1SG John Koch. John is a veteran that suffers from PTSD, and since he retired from the military has felt something missing in his life. John has always given without the thought of receiving anything in return. One day, John came across an organization called Operation K9 Beethoven. This is the reason why Santa wanted to be at Harley Davidson of Rochelle Park this day.
1SG John Koch applied to Operation K9 Beethoven to receive an Emotional Support Dog to help with his PTSD. After Operation K9 Beethoven got to know more about John, his family, and his life, they knew that they had the perfect dog for him and his needs. Harley came into our program, and she never once gave up on herself. She fought for a family that she could love and care for and would love her back most importantly. John needed Harley to be complete, but Harley also needed John to be complete as well. They have been brought together to start their journey of recovery together, and couldn't be happier!
